    We ship near and far. Shipping begins at $6.65 for small orders. For larger orders shipping is based on weight. Please contact us via our email for estimates/invoices.

    Shipping times: average 3-5 business days.

  • Certainly!

    For online purchases, at checkout you will have an option to select ‘pick up’ instead of shipping.

    Due to the nature of our store, we will always be able to re-order books that we have carried in the past, as well as, special book request orders. So, please wait for confirmation and notification that your order is ready for pick-up.

  • Our store is very intentional and although we pride ourselves in being a space to share and amplify storytelling — we recognize not all books are for our store. If you are interested in having your book considered for BLK + BRWN please refer to listed guidelines + criteria first.

    Guidelines for Book Listing Submissions:

    (1) Author is Black/Brown with good alignment with the mission of BLK + BRWN.

    (2) Book must be bound and feature a valid 13-digit ISBN.

    (3) Cover art cannot be visibly pixelated.

    (4) Books must be proof-read and contain no typographical errors.

    (5) Books must be paperback, hardcover, or board bound with appropriate spine.

    (6) Books will be reviewed and accepted at the discretion of BLK + BRWN team as space becomes available throughout the year.

    (7) Once a decision is made, the author will be notified and the book will be available on-line and/or in-store on consignment.

    We offer two options for our consignments: (1) The BLK option and (2) The BRWN option. Both options are month-long term durations for your book in-store.

  • Absolutely!

    Due to the size and vision for our store, we change titles often and carry a limited quantity at any given time. We welcome special orders and can ship or make them available for in-store pickup.

    Special orders must be paid for upfront before they will be ordered.

  • The short answer is yes.

    We put a lot of love into our space, and are so grateful that people want to hold small gatherings inside of our space.

    We do not mind renting our space for events that fit the brand and vision of BLK + BRWN (listening party, bookclub, photo shoots, and etc.). We ask that you are respectful of our space. Rentals for space start at $75/hr.
