in order to make sure the intention of the group remains intact, please share an active social media profile of yours. because this group is solely virtual, we may not have met yet. i welcome new members but don't love surprises. thank you for understanding. (we have learned sans zoom jacking circa black history month for a university chat.)

community compliance

this bookclub group meets a total of (6) times throughout the year. every other month. the goal of this collective is to create a space that centers the most marginalized bodies and voices and focuses on literature that reflects our collective journeys. the books are a mix of contemporary reads and some older gems. the expectation is that members of the group are coming to share space, perspective, and deepen community. this is a safe space and we take that seriously.

The Community Bookclub 2024 Reading Set

The group meets once every other month to discuss books written by Black + Brown writers, new and old. This group meets in person and will go hybrid in the winter season (as needed). Snacks and light refreshments are welcomed and provided for our meetings.
