On the [HBCU] YARD

  • BLK + BRWN. 104 1/2 West 39th Street Kansas City, MO, 64111 United States (map)

Join us as we gather together to honor the rich history and significance of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

We extend our warm invitation to all educators, HBCU alumni, current/potential students and families, community members in the Kansas City Metro area, to an insightful panel discussion on the unparalleled student experience and the crucial importance of HBCUs. Be inspired by distinguished panelists who will share their personal journeys and shed light on the transformative impact of HBCUs, the cultural heritage, lifelong connections, and the ins and outs of HBCU culture. Discover the many avenues of support and opportunities available for potential students interested in HBCUs, and allow alumni to share their invaluable experiences and wisdom.

Following the enlightening panel discussion, we invite you to join us for a delightful mixer to foster connections and build bridges between HBCU alumni, potential students, and educators. Together, let us ignite change, shape the narrative, and empower future generations through the knowledge and spirit of the HBCU student experience.

The bookstore will be open, and we will be curating an offering of literature for sale including books that celebrate HBCU culture, guides to different institutions, and other resources. There will be food trucks on site, as well.

RSVP today and join us at BLK + BRWN. (104 1/2 W 39th St, Kansas City, Mo, 64111) to be a part of this uplifting conversation!

This event promises to be an enlightening and empowering gathering, where genuine connections are forged, and new possibilities are unveiled. Don't miss this unique opportunity to celebrate the legacy of HBCUs and join us in shaping a brighter future.
