for colored girls will be an intimate celebration of sisterhood, womanhood, and our sexuality + bodily autonomy. Whether you identify as femme or masc presenting for colored girls is for us all. Shange’s work and legacy has always been about celebrating the everyday lives of black and brown women while calling us to find joy in ourselves. this event will consist of community readings of Ntozake Shange, storytelling and communion.
